On December 12, at the ARPAV (Regional Agency for Environmental Prevention and Protection of the Veneto Region) headquarters in Vicenza, the organization's technicians involved in LIFE PHOENIX presented the activity in which they are engaged, and more generally the project objectives, to colleagues working on the environmental matrices related to the project study.

This moment of sharing proved to be a valuable opportunity for the ARPAV technicians to discuss the development actions, in particular the environmental monitoring of soil and water and the elaboration of an innovative numerical model for the analysis and prediction of the dispersion of pollutants in the waters.

The ARPAV agency, established with Regional Law no. 32 of the 18th October 1996 and effective since the 3rd October 1997, pursues two closely related objectives: protection, through environmental controls that protect the health of the population and the safety of the territory, and prevention, through research, training and environmental information and education.
